Brit Hume, evangelist

Somewhat old news now, but Brit Hume is still in hot water for his remarks a few days ago during the panel discussion on Fox News Sunday inviting Tiger Woods to a personal conversion:

Way to go, Brit!

Peter Wehner has more to say in a thoughtful piece on National Review Online, including reference to an exchange between William F. Buckley, Jr. and Malcolm Muggeridge on living/sharing one's faith.

UPDATE: You can view the exchange between Buckley and Muggeridge here.

"Therefore God exhalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above very name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..." Phil. 2:9-11

I loved the interview with O'Reilly and had recorded it so John and Victoria could watch. I was thrilled to see such an open and unashamed witness in the name of JESUS on TV. I could hardly believe my ears. To speak rightly about the redemption and reconciliation that Christ alone offers gives me reason to hope that there are media types out there who "get it." Brit Hume obviously does. There is power in that name, my friend.
