S.F. Chronicle article on Down Syndrome

Yesterday's San Francisco Chronicle has a story on the increased attention on people with Down Syndrome as a result of Sarah Palin's vice presidential nomination.

I spoke on the phone with the reporter for the piece, and she included a couple quotes from me in the article (she identified me as "Don Peters," a physicist from Pleasanton). Don't know why she couldn't get my name right, but at least the quotes are accurate.

Neat article, Don. How did they learn about you to contact you?

Could you contact the author to at least get the online version corrected?

The reporter who wrote the piece, Julian Guthrie, found my page about Stevie and Jacob on our website. She e-mailed and asked whether she could talk to me for the article.

I took your suggestion and e-mailed her, complimenting her on the article. I didn't ask for a correction, per se, but I did point out that I had to tell my friends that I was "Don Peters" when I told them about the article.
