Six Years On

Please remember to pray for the victims of 9/11 today.

Much has gone wrong during the Iraq campaign in the War on Terror, but some now seems to be going right. Whatever else one might say about President Bush, one must acknowledge that his presidency has kept us free from another domestic terror attack for six years. Would any of us have expected that in the days after 9/11? Would we have thought that we would describe six years without an attack as a "failed presidency?"

Don, I agree. The only thing Pres. Bush has really failed to do is explain the exact nature of this fight. There is nothing to be gained (and everything to lose) by pretending that there are not a vast number of people who, because of an evil and satanic ideology, want to destroy the U.S., Israel and the West. Can we be so naive as to think that human nature has changed and that "we all want the same thing..peace." It simply isn't true. The ideology we are up against wants WAR and I think we should oblige them. The sooner we call a spade a spade and stop dancing around this group just because they happen to be linked with a religion the better for all of us. Do you think for a moment the Left wouldn't happily condemn these actions if they were being perpetrated by the Christian church? Anyway, I am always outraged all over again on Sept. 11 and hope others are as well.
