Keeping my promise: Photo from our UK trip
We spent our first full vacation day in England sightseeing in London. We started out at the Cabinet War Rooms and Churchill Museum, then headed past Big Ben and across the Thames for a ride on the London Eye. We took it pretty slow, since the kids can't walk long distances. They really enjoyed the day, so we must have paced it about right.

I got to go to the Cabinet War Rooms when I was in London for a few days almost exactly six years ago. I really enjoyed it! I'm glad to hear (err... read) that you all are back safe and sound. Thanks for posting the great picture, it looks like the weather was beautiful!

We had amazing weather for the beginning of the trip. The temps were in the low 70's, which is pretty phenomenal. If it hadn't been windy we wouldn't have needed jackets.
We also had very little rain till the end of the trip, when things also got colder. But then, it wouldn't be England without a little rain, would it?
